Hype Check

Hype Check

Public claims, next to what we could check.

Big income claims are everywhere. Here's what we could actually check.

We compare a public claim with public proof. It is not an accusation, and not found does not mean the claim is false.

Each figure is labelled Claimed, with a source and a date. Corrections are welcome.

Got something wrong?

If a figure is incorrect or you have proof, write to us and we'll correct it. See the corrections log.

Dan Koe

Courses and software

● Claimed

$4.1 million

A letter about selling what you know, with a seven-figure year in it.

The claim

In his 29 Mar 2024 letter he wrote that he had "made $4.1 million in revenue last year" as a personal brand. That year is 2023.

What we found

No public revenue proof found. No filing, payment feed, or sale listing states the figure.

What they sell

Courses and software: Digital Economics and Kortex University.

Lesson

When a big year sits next to a course, ask how much came from teaching the method.

Where we looked
  • Own site and posts. Checked Oct 2026. Letter on thedankoe.com, 29 Mar 2024. He wrote that he "made $4.1 million in revenue last year."
  • Public company registries. Checked Oct 2026. No accounts state this figure.
  • Public revenue pages. Checked Oct 2026. No TrustMRR page, Stripe-verified feed, or Open Startup page. TrustMRR.
  • Sale marketplaces. Checked Oct 2026. No Acquire listing states this figure. Acquire.
  • Press. Checked Oct 2026. No independent report found that checks this figure. A TrustMRR product named Koe is a different business.

We may have missed a source. If public proof exists, send it and we'll update this card. hello@proofofincomeai.com

Last checked: 20 Oct 2026. We re-check each month. If public proof arrives, we update this card, for example to Verified, and show the date.

Education business and a client agency

● Claimed

$480,000

One video, one monthly figure, more than one business.

The claim

In this YouTube video, published 19 Jan 2025, he says his AI businesses made him $480,000 the previous month.

What we found

No public revenue proof found. Morningside AI names him as co-founder and does not give this number.

What they sell

AAA Accelerator, his education business, and Morningside AI, an agency for clients.

Lesson

Ask how much came from clients, and how much from students. The video does not split it.

Sells the product itself

● Claimed

$105,000

Photo AI's own revenue, from the person who ships it.

The claim

On 6 Mar 2026 he posted "$105,000/mo revenue" and "$80,000/mo profit" for Photo AI. The dated copy is on levels.io. It was first posted on X, and we have no separate status link.

What we found

No public revenue proof found. Later write-ups put it nearer $80,000 to $86,000 a month (date approximate).

What they sell

Photo AI, the product itself.

Lesson

A product's revenue and a course about building one answer different questions. This is still his own statement.

Where we looked
  • Own site and posts. Checked Oct 2026. levels.io, 6 Mar 2026, originally posted on X. It states "$105,000/mo revenue" and "$80,000/mo profit." No separate x.com status link. photoai.com names him as the founder and does not add a payment record.
  • Public company registries. Checked Oct 2026. No accounts state this figure.
  • Public revenue pages. Checked Oct 2026. No TrustMRR page, Stripe-verified feed, or Open Startup page. TrustMRR.
  • Sale marketplaces. Checked Oct 2026. No Acquire listing states this figure. Acquire.
  • Press. Checked Oct 2026. Write-ups repeat his posts. No independent check of this figure found. IndieMakerList lists $86K/mo, self-reported. The figure is undated. Profile last checked 8 Oct 2026 (date approximate). Steal What Works, last updated 27 Aug 2026, says around $80,000/mo (date approximate). Other photo tools on TrustMRR are different businesses.

Claimed means we have the person's statement and a date, and not an independent record such as a payment-provider feed. How we verify.
