Privacy policy

This note explains how ProofOfIncome handles personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nLPD). Questions go to hello@proofofincomeai.com.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to The Proof Report, we process your email address and basic sign-up and delivery data (time of sign-up, approximate location derived from your IP address, opens and clicks) to send you the newsletter. The sign-up form is embedded from beehiiv (subscribe-forms.beehiiv.com). The email address you enter there is processed by beehiiv. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email; we then stop sending and delete or anonymise your data.

Who receives data, and where

We use a few service providers. Some of them process data outside Switzerland, as listed below.

• Beehiiv (beehiiv Inc., USA) runs the newsletter. On larger screens the sign-up form is loaded from Beehiiv when you open a page, so Beehiiv sees your IP address and the page address. If you subscribe, Beehiiv stores your email address and delivery data (opens, clicks) in the USA. Safeguard: Beehiiv's data processing addendum, which includes the EU standard contractual clauses with the Swiss adaptations recognised by the FDPIC.
• Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA) hosts this website on its global network, mainly in the USA. It processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request. Safeguard: Vercel is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which Switzerland recognises as adequate. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use third-party cookies. It records the page URL, referrer, filtered query parameters, geolocation (country, region and city), device type, operating system and version, and browser and version. Visits are identified by a hash created from the request; that visitor session is discarded after 24 hours. The recording is anonymous and is not tied to you or your IP address.
• ImprovMX (USA) forwards email sent to hello@proofofincomeai.com. Mail is received on servers in France and passed on through servers in France or the USA. ImprovMX keeps delivery logs (sender, recipient, subject) for 7 days and does not keep the message itself. For the part handled in the USA we rely on ImprovMX's own commitments; ImprovMX is not certified under the Data Privacy Framework. If you prefer, write to us another way or ask us to delete your message.
• Google (Gmail) stores the forwarded email in our mailbox. For users in Switzerland the provider is Google Ireland Limited (Ireland); Google may process data on servers worldwide, including in the USA, where Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Fonts and images are served from our own domain. Vercel Web Analytics is loaded from our own domain. We do not use any other third-party scripts, fonts or trackers.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views, as described above.

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies. Fonts and images are served from our own domain. The newsletter sign-up form is embedded from beehiiv (subscribe-forms.beehiiv.com). Beehiiv processes the email address you submit and may set a cookie to remember that you subscribed. Links to sources (for example X posts or revenue dashboards) take you to other sites with their own privacy policies.

Sponsors

We have no sponsors and are not currently selling sponsorships. We never sell or share subscriber email addresses. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labelled and will not affect ratings.
